FantasyFooty.net.au uses the same point scoring system as AFL Dream Team.
Your team is awarded points based on the actual performances of each player in your team each round, throughout the 22 rounds of the AFL home-and-away season.
Points scored by your team each round are based on the performance of the starting line-up of your 18 players each round, including up to 4 players selected on your bench to replace up to 4 players in your starting 18 in matching positions who don't play that round. The remaining substitutes on your reserves list do not score.
Selected players on your bench will replace any non-playing player in matching positions only. Where there's more than one player on your bench available in a certain position and only one is required, the first selected player will be used. If you have a non-playing player in a certain position and don't have a player on your bench in that position, you'll not score any points for that player. It's entirely up to you how many of the 4 allowed bench players you name and in what combination.
